Clarence W. "Jim" Neumann, 87, of New Richmond, died Tuesday, Nov. 15.

Clarence W. "Jim" Neumann of New Richmond died Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Regions Hospital, at the age of 87.

Clarence was born June 7, 1924, in St. Paul, to Otto and Alma Neumann. He attended Mahtomedi schools through the eighth grade. On June 21, 1947, he married Leona Goetchel at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake Elmo. He farmed all of his life.

In his free time, he enjoyed reviving pickup trucks and RED tractors. He was active in Zion Lutheran Church, serving on the council and on the board of elders.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Alma, and sister-in-law, Fern.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Leona; son, Roger (Laurie) of New Richmond; grandchildren, Bjorn (Jamie) of New Richmond, Crystal (Derek) Ruter of Shannon, Ill., Brett of New Richmond; great-grandchildren, Ben and Gabbie Neumann, Emma Ruter; and brother Harold of Oakdale.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 19, at Zion Lutheran Church in East Farmington, Wis. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
