Scott Kevin Rothe, age 45, of Hudson, Wis., died unexpectedly on Dec. 5.

Scott was born on Oct. 31, 1966, to Clarence and Vergil (Engebretson) Rothe in River Falls, Wis. He graduated from Hudson High School in 1985 and worked as a custom machinist for 27 years. He was most recently working for NCCM Company in River Falls. On Nov. 14, 1998, he was united in marriage to Christine Milde in Fort Meyers Beach, Fla. The marriage would be blessed with two children, Janae (12) and Jaden (10).
Scott was a loyal husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved being outdoors, working on landscaping and home-improvement projects. He also liked working on his parent's farm.
Scott is survived by his wife, Christine (Milde); children, Janae and Jaden; siblings Diane (Burt) Beckman of Clear Lake, Wis., and Darrel (Nila) Rothe of Amery, Wis.; nieces and nephews, Stacy Mortimer, Melissa Corcoran, Kori Fromm-Rothe, Amy Clermont, Michelle Hovde, Todd Lillie, Nathan Lillie, Matt Corcoran, and Nicholas Rothe; other relatives and friends.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Vergil Rothe; his sister Virginia Corcoran; and brother Dale Rothe.
A funeral celebration of Scott's life was held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at the Family of Christ Lutheran Church, 285 County Road E, Houlton, Wis. Burial followed at the New Richmond Cemetery. Visitation took place for 1 hour prior to services as well as from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, all at the church. Memorials preferred.
