Matthew Gaddis, age 44, of Somerset, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends, on Friday, Feb. 3, at his home, after a courageous battle with lymphoma.
Matthew Gaddis, age 44, of Somerset, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends, on Friday, Feb. 3, at his home, after a courageous battle with lymphoma.
He was born Aug. 7, 1967, in Boston, Mass. In 1991, Matt graduated from Virginia Military Institute. He married Jill Boschma on Dec. 28, 1991, in Ocala, Fla.
Matt’s greatest joy in life was being a dad to his two sons, Evan and Mitch. He loved coaching and attending their sporting events.
Matt will be missed by his wife, Jill Gaddis; sons, Evan and Mitch Gaddis; mother, Heloise Lee; sisters, Angela Miller, Christine (Paul) Sipes; niece, Camryn Sipes; nephew, Ryan Sipes; and many friends.
A celebration of his life will be held from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, with a memory sharing service at 7 p.m., at Bakken-Young Funeral Home Beebe Chapel in New Richmond. Memorials may be directed to the Gaddis Family Benefit Account at Royal Credit Union.
