Gilbert "Bud" Parent, age 84, of New Richmond, Wis., died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, March 4, at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.
Gilbert "Bud" Parent, age 84, of New Richmond, Wis., died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, March 4, at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.
Bud was born on May 4, 1927, in Somerset, Wis., to Emil and Olivene (Baillargeon) Parent.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and sisters.
Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Gretta (Miller) Parent; children, Sandra (Steven) Bottolfson, Robert (Carrie) Parent; sister, Florabelle ("Red" Martin) Appleby; brother, Wilford Parent; grandchildren, Merlyn (Heather) Leslie Jr,, Teresa (Chad) Wegener, Stacy (Brent) Swanson, Jami (Will) Graves, Amy (Garett) Monson, Aaron (Ashley) Parent; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Thursday, March 8, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Richmond. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Interment Clear Lake Cemetery, Clear Lake, Wis.
