Edwin Michael Miller, age 97, died peacefully at his daughter’s home in Illinois on April 1.

Edwin Michael Miller, age 97, died peacefully at his daughter's home in Illinois on April 1.

Edwin was born on Aug. 14, 1914, in Chicago, Ill., to George and Stella (Tomaszewski) Mieloszyk. Edwin served with the U.S. Navy Seabees in the Pacific during WWII and the Korean Conflict and was with the Navel Reserves for 6 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Curtis Michael Miller; wife, Anna Galayda Miller; siblings Theodore, Rose, Florence, Elizabeth (Betty).

He is survived by his daughter, Carol (Robert) Miller Charniak; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Trowbridge-Miller; siblings Edna, Gene, and Lucy; grandchildren, Michael Robert Charniak, Sara Lyn (Charniak) Salvato, Lindsey (Brian) Miller Allesandrini, Collin (Elaine) Miller, Jacob Taylor; great-grandchildren, Tobas Robert Charniak, Sebastian Charniak, Samantha Renee Salvato, Madeline Rose Salvato, Jada Taylor, Abigale Miller, Anna Miller, Tyler Allesandrini, Adam Allesandrini, Sophia Allesandrini.

Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Richmond, Wis. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Interment Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
