Ida Rosa Abbuehl, age 94, of New Richmond, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Westfields Hospital.

Ida Rosa Abbuehl, age 94, of New Richmond, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Westfield's Hospital.

She was born the daughter of Christian and Caroline (Zurbruegg) Abbuehl on March 8, 1918, in Clear Lake, Wis. Ida graduated from Clear Lake High School. She lived in New York City and worked as a beautician and at the American Can Company before returning home to Wisconsin to live in New Richmond.

Ida loved to entertain and was a wonderful hostess. She enjoyed traveling and traveled a lot.

She is survived by her nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; great-great-nieces; great-great-nephews; and many other relatives.

Ida was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Clara Newville, Johanna Emerson, Fred Abbuehl, Ted Abbuehl, Olga Abbuehl, Hulda Rasmussen, Adolph Abbuehl, Ernest Abbuehl, and Louise Hemauer.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at First Baptist Church in New Richmond. Visitation is also Saturday from 10-11 a.m. Interment is in Clayton Cemetery in Clayton, Wis.
