Pamela Jean Plourde, 61, of North Branch, Minn., formerly of St. Paul, Minn., and Somerset, Wis., was born in Stillwater, Minn., on Dec. 12, 1950.
Pamela Jean Plourde, 61, of North Branch, Minn., formerly of St. Paul, Minn., and Somerset, Wis., was born in Stillwater, Minn., on Dec. 12, 1950. Surrounded by family, she passed away peacefully on Sept. 14 following complications from a severe head injury.
Preceded in death by her parents, Remie A. and Cecilia Plourde; twin brother, Pierre Plourde; brother Gene Plourde; and brother-in-law Ron Thoen.
Survived by brother Remie L. (Rosalyn) Plourde of Ellsworth, Wis.; sisters, Nanette (John) Pederson of Stillwater, Cecile Thoen of Osceola, Wis., and Marilyn (Fred) Trautmiller of Somerset; nieces and nephews, Sara (Zac) Eichten, Fred (Callie) Trautmiller, Tim (Abby) Trautmiller, Matt (Missy) Trautmiller, Justin Trautmiller, Jesse Thoen (Michelle Vitalis), Joseph Thoen (Jessica Robinson), Marissa and Doug Pederson; great-nieces and -nephews, Truman Thoen, Mercedes Thoen, Charlotte, Tori, and Nolan Eichten, Jada, Jaelyn, and Sterling Trautmiller, Allie and Madison Trautmiller, and Emma Trautmiller; also survived by a loving extended family and many wonderful friends.
Pam worked as an LPN nurse for 28 years at Mounds Park Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital, and St. John's NE Hospital. Later, she found special joy in working for People Incorporated, taking great pride in her work with the community gardens, woodshop area, and most recently the landscaping and floral beds for this organization. She loved to read, play cribbage, garden, knit, crochet, play games (especially Scrabble), take pictures, go to the State Fair, and spend time with family and friends. The kids loved Aunt Pam. We will miss you, Pam, and all the enthusiasm, encouragement, and support you generously gave to your loved ones.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Somerset. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Monday at St. Anne's Church and also 1 hour prior to service. Interment St. Anne's Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Anne's Church, People Incorporated, or donor's choice.
