Florine Elizabeth Rondeau, age 88, passed away peacefully at Westfields Hospital on Oct. 29, surrounded by her loving family.

Florine was born on Sept. 20, 1924, to Patrick and Agnes (Hilling) Haley, in the township of Stanton. She spent her first years growing up on the family farm in Stanton and attending the Deer Park school. Her adolescence was spent in New Richmond. She graduated from New Richmond High School as a proud member of the class of 1942. Florine married Les Rondeau on Feb. 20, 1946. Les was truly the love of her life. They were married for 60 years and were separated only by Les' passing in 2006. They were well-known fixtures on New Richmond's north side neighborhood for many decades. Together, they operated a small business known as Rondeau's Floor Service for many years, teaching their grandsons a strong work ethic and many of life's lessons along the way.

Florine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Les; her parents; sisters, Carmen Lumphrey and Margie Clemens; and brother, Lloyd Haley.

She is greatly missed by her daughter Mary (David) Demulling; grandsons, Michael Demulling and Shawn (Selena) Demulling; and great-grandsons, Christian Demulling and Alexander Demulling, all from New Richmond.

Florine was an amazing mother and grandma and true friend to many. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, amazing wit, and incredible generosity and compassion. She was tremendously proud of her Irish heritage. She had a passion and talent for ceramics and could bake the most perfect apple pie. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family, who dearly loved her.

Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Richmond. Visitation 4-7 p.m. Friday at Cullen Crea Funeral Home, 307 S. Arch Ave., New Richmond, and 1 hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment at St. Bridget's Cemetery in Stanton, Wis. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorial donations be sent to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation or the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation.

Mary: You won't remember me, but I knew you back in the days. I met your Mom when over at your place with a guy by the name of Bobby Running. I'm so sorry for your loss. I knew from both you and your best buddy at the time, Kathy Hanson, that you were a very close knit family. Take care and wishing you and your's the best. Greg Haller

Sorry for your loss. I knew Florine because of the "Northside" She was wonderful to my mom,Eva and a great -.neighbor to Grace Bentley. She always had a smile and was so creative-she made beautiful ceramic pieces...especially a white church, that Grace would display at Christmas..with colored lights in the windows-always helpful. She was a great lady, and she will be missed. Now she will keep Esther Carow & Mildred Olson, company in heaven, as well as my mom. With sympathy, Lori ( Halvorson) Opelt
