Collin John Fitzgerald - 4 years old; Jan. 29, 2008 - Dec. 11, 2012.

Collin John Fitzgerald, our precious "Nahnah" unexpectedly met the loving arms of Jesus the morning of Dec. 11, and is now snug beside his sister Zaylee in Heaven.

Collin was a very much loved "Big Boy" whose compassion and love for Jesus absolutely amazed his family. He had a heart of gold, dreamed of being a helicopter driver, fireman guy, ambulance guy, nurse like his mama, Army guy, police officer, and working at Fitzy Lawn Care with his daddy.

We will set our eyes on our heavenly home where we will be with Collin and Zaylee again. Collin will be remembered as best buddies to cousin Jack, a very good boy whose mommy and daddy were so proud of, and a loving, patient, kind big brother to Zane and Zaylee.

Collin is survived by his parents, Daniel and Rachel (Prescott) Fitzgerald; brother, Zane; maternal grandparents, Richard and Joan "Beste" (Anderson) Prescott; paternal grandparents, Dr. John and Sally Fitzgerald; great-grandmother Lucille "LuLu" Prescott; very special aunts Karen "KK" Diethert (Prescott) and Jane Meeker; much loved preschool teacher Nicole Blaszczyk (Mrs. B); along with so many other close friends and family.

Preceded in death by infant sister Zaylee Lucy Fitzgerald; infant cousin Atty Lyn Fitzgerald; great-grandparents Harry and Selma Fitzgerald, John and Beatrice Hogan, Victor Prescott, Norman Ole and Barbara Anderson.

A memorial fund has been set up in Collin Fitzgerald's name at any Royal Credit Union, www.rcu.org.

Our hearts and prayers go out to the Fitzgerald family. We do not know you personally, we are distant neighbors but still family in the eyes of God. (Being the parents of a lost child ourselves) we, as humans, do not understand why God takes children. All we can do is live life as He desires so that we may see our babies again in Heaven! Little Angels by Author Unknown When God calls little children to dwell with Him above, We mortals sometime question the wisdom of His love. For no heartache compares with the death of one small child Who does so much to make our world, seem wonderful and mild Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to his fold, So He picks a rosebud, before it can grow old. God knows how much we need them, and so He takes but few To make the land of Heaven more beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult still somehow we must try, The saddest word mankind knows will always be "Goodbye." So when a little child departs, we who are left behind Must realize God loves children, Angels are hard to find.
