Delores Jane Krohn, nee Weber, age 84, of Somerset, died Monday, Jan. 28, at the American Heritage Care Center in Hammond.
Delores Jane Krohn, nee Weber, age 84, of Somerset, died Monday, Jan. 28, at the American Heritage Care Center in Hammond.
Delores was born the daughter of August and Mary (Ernster) Weber on June 28, 1928, in Freedom Township, Faulk County, S.D. The family moved to Caledonia, Minn., when she was five. On Oct. 9, 1948, she married Milan Krohn in New Prague, Minn. She worked as a nurses aide at St. Joe's Hospital until they started a family. They moved to Somerset in 1964.
Delores was an excellent wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed keeping a home, her flower gardens, and volunteering at Christ Lutheran Church. She was a gentle, down-to-earth woman who didn't complain about much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Mary Weber; son Steven Krohn; brothers Kenny Weber, Virgil Weber; and sisters, Bernice Meyer, Pearl Becker.
Delores is survived by her husband, Milan "Mike" Krohn; children Dwayne Krohn, Michael (Liz) Krohn, Pamela Salisbury, Tom Krohn, Tim Krohn, Gregg (Carla) Krohn, Chris (Lisa) Krohn, Patty (Tim) Delaney; grandchildren, Jason (Colleen) Krohn, Tammy Salisbury, Brandon (Jennifer) Krohn, Breanna Krohn, Cassandra (Weston) Rogers, Clarissa Krohn, Christa Krohn, Joshua (Mai) Krohn, Melissa Coleman, Jeffrey (Brittany) Krohn, Ryan (Jennifer) Krohn, Emily Delaney, Amy Delaney; 14 great-grandchildren; brother Robert (Thelma) Weber; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Christ Lutheran Church in Somerset. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at the Bakken-Young Beebe Chapel in New Richmond, and on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Somerset.
