Hammond Heartland Days 2009

  • The grand parade was held on Sunday.
  • This was supposedly a "haunted float" in Sunday's parade.
  • The annual car show brought out lots of classic cars and enthusiasts.
  • The library hosted a cookie contest.
  • The llamas entered the parade to promote the 13th annual Running of the Llamas, held Sept. 11-13.
  • A gallery show was held at Stone Soup.
  • New St. Croix Central High School band director Joelle Miller led the pep band through some tunes on Thursday night.
  • The Central St. Croix Area Chamber of Commerce sponsored a bean bag tournament.
  • A pie and ice cream social was held on Thursday. Proceeds benefited the St. Croix Central band program.
  • People came in droves for the free community dinner, sponsored by Associated Bank of Hammond, on Thursday evening.
  • On the menu at the community dinner were hot dogs and brats.
  • A mini golf course was set up all weekend.
  • The library was full of carnival games on Friday evening.
  • The Senior All Night Party Committee hosted games for all ages.
  • Kids crafted hula hoops at the library on Friday night.
  • The St. Croix Central Bifocal Band played on Thursday night.
  • The pedal pull showed off some strong little legs on Thursday evening.
