New St. Croix Central Teachers

St. Croix Central School District has hired 7 new teachers.


Jackie Palmer



Age: 27

Family: I have been married to husband, Nate, for five years and we have two wonderful boys, Colton (2 ½) and Tucker (10 months) and a 4 ½-year-old yellow lab, Millie.

Position in the district: Part-time middle school special education teacher.

Education: I graduated from Luck High School and then went to the University of Wisconsin-Stout where I earned a bachelor’s degree in special education cross-categorical K-12, cognitive disability (CD), learning disability (LD), emotional behavioral disability (EBD).

Previous work experience: I taught special education in the School District of New Richmond for 4.5 years at the elementary level. I worked with a variety of students ranging from mild to severe ability levels.

Favorite hobbies/pastimes: I love spending time with family and friends and watching my boys grow up. I like being outside, going for walks, camping and being active. I enjoy watching and playing sports. Go Packers.

  • Lisa Schultz<br /><br /><br /><br />Age: 28<br /><br />Family: Husband Lance<br /><br />Position in the district: Kindergarten teacher<br /><br />Education: Bachelor of Science in early childhood education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Master of Science in education from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.<br /><br />Previous work experience: I taught kindergarten in Arbor Vitae for one year (2007-2008), 4-year-old kindergarten in Eagle river for four years, (2008-2012).<br /><br />Favorite hobbies/pastimes: Running and photography.
  • Carri DuMond<br /><br /><br /><br />Age: 34<br /><br />Family: Husband Jade, three sons: Braeden (11), Elijah (9), Harper (7).<br /><br />Position in the district: Middle school art teacher.<br /><br />Education: Bachelor of Science in art education from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.<br /><br />Previous work experience: Day camp art director, teambuilding facilitator and outdoor educator at the YMCA Camp St. Croix from 2000-2005; art elective teacher at St. Bridget’s School iin River Falls in the fall of 2000; daycare provider from 2001-2011 in my home, until all my boys were grown and off to school.<br /><br />Favorite hobbies/pastimes: My favorite thing to do is spend time exploring the outdoors and having fun with my husband and three boys. We try to plan a fun road trip each year to set off and see the amazing sights around the United States. Time with my family and friends consumes much of my free time. My camera is always with, wherever I am, as I love photography and editing photos. When I relax at home, I like to read a good book or knit something cool for someone’s adorable baby.
  • Stacey Flanders<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Age 31<br /><br />Family: I have been married for six years (Kamen) and we have one daughter who is 1 (Kelbie).<br /><br />Position in the district: Third grade teacher.<br /><br />Education: I attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls for my degree in elementary education.<br /><br />Previous work experience: Previously, I was employed with an American veterinary supply company that has a facility in England. My husband and I lived in England for five years. Last year, I taught 4K for St. Croix Central at the Trinity location.<br /><br />Favorite hobbies/pastimes: I enjoy biking on the Red Cedar Trail, spending time with my family, and reading whenever I get a chance.
  • Tim Scott<br /><br /><br /><br />Age: 54<br /><br />Family: Single<br /><br />Position in the district: Exploratory German teacher at St. Croix Central Middle School.<br /><br />Education: BA, Humanities, German; Secondary education minor, St. John’s University, 1980. J.D., University of Minnesota Law School, 1988. LLM German/European Community Law, Eberhard-Karls Universität, Tübingen, Germany, 1990.<br /><br />Previous work experience: Scout summer camp staff, German teacher, residence hall supervisor, law clerk to federal bankruptcy judge, attorney in private practice, public speaker on the Holocaust.<br /><br />Favorite hobbies/pastimes: Classic Mustangs, German-American Scout exchange director, Scouting, travel, guitar, mission furniture, youth ministry.
  • Sue Rudesill<br /><br /><br /><br />Age: Seasoned<br /><br />Family:I have four boys and my husband of course. And we have a dairy farm in Baldwin.<br /><br />Position in the district:<br /><br />Lonterm Sub in Family consumer Education<br /><br />Education: I went to the University of Wisconsin- Madison. I graduated from there with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Education.<br /><br />Previous work experience: I taught in Oak Creek and in Spring Valley and since then I’ve been actively involved with the family farm. <br /><br />Favorite hobbies/pastimes: Golfing and camping.
  • Christine Williams<br /><br /><br /><br />Age: 58<br /><br />Family: Four adult children: Wade, Kylee, Lacey and Wes. I have six grandchildren.<br /><br />Position in the district: School psychologist.<br /><br />Education: Bachelor of Science, psychology; minor/sociology. Masters of Science/School Psychology.<br /><br />Previous work experience: I was director of special education school psychologists in Oconto, Wis. prior to coming to SCC.<br /><br />Favorite hobbies/pastimes: Boating, reading, gardening, cross country skiing, swimming and spending time with family.
