LETTER: Guns gone, problems solved right?
In my late teens and early 20s I got to play with guns a lot. After I saw what a round did to the human body, when it starts tumbling as it goes through, I sort of lost interest. Early gun-deer results show harvest up nearly 20 percent over last year
Overall, the statewide gun-deer harvest is up over 19 percent from 2011, and registration increased in all regions, the Wisconsin DNR reported late Monday. Warm weather likely had some hunters registering their deer right away instead of leaving them hang at camp, which likely bumped up the numbers.

Fall fishing trip yields a bountiful harvest
A group of my friends get together twice a year to catch up on current events and do a little fishing on the side. We travel to a northern Minnesota lake to spend a few days rehashing just about every subject under the sun and after solving the world’s problems still find time to catch a few fish and enjoy a few Leinie’s originals.
