Two local elementary students have won the Wildlife Forever State Fish Art Contest in their respective age categories. Julia Belmont, a fifth-grader, and Mason Erickson, a third-grader, are both students in Mike Pike’s art class at Hillside Elementary.

State Patrol Sgt. Brian Erickson reported Monday evening that Zachary Douglas Zajec, the 17-year-old driver of a Dodge Durango that crashed into the back of a flatbed semi- trailer a week ago, died Monday at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
