I guess I never understood just how poor we were until I heard Mitt Romney say the other day that "middle class was between 200 and 250,000 a year. Now I understand why Rep. Sean Duffy was complaining how tough it is to get by on a paltry $174,000.

It became law Feb. 4, 1989. The expectation is that a warning will allow working class (middle class) people to prepare.
