The Polk County Medical Examiner has released the identities of the two victims of the Town of Osceola house fire. They have been identified as Shelli R. Maier, 43, and her daughter, Makayla M. Corbin, 16. Both lived at 997 240th Street, Osceola, with Shelli Maier's father Larry Maier, 68.

The driver of a gasoline tanker trunk killed in a fiery I-94 crash in St. Croix County Monday has been identified as Todd Richardson, 51, of Colfax. The Wisconsin State Patrol said Richardson was carrying gasoline to central Wisconsin when his truck lost control, went through a median, hit a bridge and started on fire.

Each morning I fill our two hanging feeders with sunflower seeds, top off the thistle feeder, then place a bit of tallow or meat scrapes on the platform feeder. At times, if I feel generous, I’ll add some dog food kibble, extra sunflower seeds and the left over spillage from our 19-year-old cockatiel Rocky’s feeding dish to the mix.
