On a day with weather befitting a chili feed, hundreds of residents young and old alike filed through a lengthy buffet line beginning with bowls of the fire house chili, hot dogs and cheesy nachos through dishes of homemade pasta and popcorn salads into a maze of chocolate chip cookies and deserts and ending in a crowd of crock pots simmering with chilies made from time honored secret family recipes.
Two familiar supper clubs from northwestern Wisconsin are among the 50 establishments featured in "Wisconsin Supper Clubs: An Old Fashioned Experience" — The Laurel Supper Club near New Richmond and Indianhead Supper Club in Balsam Lake.
Students jumped up and down, waved their arms and danced to “Call Me Maybe” (Carly Rae Jepsen), “Baby” (Justin Bieber) and other popular songs during a not-so-typical school assembly at Somerset Elementary School Friday, Feb. 22.
Radio Disney employees will be playing tunes and dancing with Somerset Elementary School kids at an event geared toward helping kids exercise more and eat healthily. The event will be held later in February.
