4-H kids, parents learn about science
The thick fog that obscured the roads and decreased visibility on Jan. 28, kept the attendance down at an event put on by the University of Wisconsin-Extension and St. Croix County 4-H.
Tom Zinnen, a state specialist in Agriculture and Life Sciences, held an after school learning session for ages 10 and up in the St. Croix Central High School science and technology lab.

A new St. Croix Central Middle School club joined instructor Tim Scott in spreading some holiday cheer for residents of the St. Croix County Health Center Nursing home and practiced their German while they were at it.

German student tries American sports at SCC
Fabian Hagedorn said one of his biggest surprises when arriving in America as an exchange student was the lack of public transportation. Hagedorn, a sophomore, comes from Hamburg, Germany, where he said there is always access to buses and trains.

SCC Middle School food drive theme echoes sports rivalry
St. Croix Central Middle School was filled with students in green and purple gear on Friday, Nov. 30 and not just because of the Packer-Viking game on Sunday. The students showed their support for their favorite of the two teams by bringing non-perishable items for the foods shelf to school.
