A pile of corn led to the Friday, Nov. 17, arrest of a convicted felon suspected of illegally possessing a rifle while deer hunting in Price County without a license after hunting hours and allegedly using an illegal deer bait.

Young people in the St. Croix Valley area interested in hunting and recreational shooting are invited to enroll in a certified Wisconsin Hunter Education course to be held at the Somerset Middle School. A person does not need to be a Wisconsin resident to enroll in this course and there is no age specific requirement.
