Positions on the Tuesday, April 2, ballot include a St. Croix County judgeship, a seat on the District 3 Court of Appeals, Wisconsin superintendent of public instruction, and a seat on the state Supreme Court.
With 86% of voting units in the district reporting, at 11:30 p.m. Sheila Harsdorf, who has represented the 10th District in the Wisconsin Senate since 2001 and survived a recall attempt last year, had won re-election. At that point, Harsdorf had 45,328 votes to 29,436 for her challenger, Daniel C. Olson.
Tuesday afternoon, hundreds of men, women, children and students waited for over an hour so see Paul Ryan, vice presidential candidate. Tommy Thompson, the former governor and now Republican candidate for U.S. Senator arrived at the Hudson Victory Center shortly before Ryan.
