My, that was quick and seemingly easy, one vote and it appears St. Croix Industries is history. Yes, I know it has to be voted on by the county board.
I attended the first meeting of the New Richmond, Stanton boundary discussion along with about 20 other concerned residents Tuesday night. Local officials numbered at about nine which included a representative of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
People in western Dunn County and eastern St. Croix County are growing more concerned about a proposed sand mine, and last week’s comments from John Larson, mayor of Glenwood City, certainly don’t help ease those concerns.
It is said that for every suicide death, six people are impacted. We believe this number to be significantly small. When a suicide death occurs, it sends ripples through entire communities, leaving no one untouched by a life taken too soon.
