VILLAGE OF STAR PRAIRIE
FEBRUARY 1, 2017
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, posted January 31, 2017, the Star Prairie Village Board met in the Community Center at 7:00 p.m. on February 1, 2017. The meeting was called to order by President Peterson. Roll call; members present: Trustees Craig Matthys, Dan Scheeringa, Chris Boardman, Dustin Howe, and President Chad Peterson Also present village attorney Tim Scott.
Trustee Howe moved to approve the agenda, seconded by Trustee Matthys and motion carried.
Public Comment President Peterson introduced and welcomed maintenance operator Bob Anez to the meeting. President Peterson expressed thanks to Tom Peterson, with Daves Service for his help with the village truck repairs and shared thank you note received from Gary Petersons family.
Trustee Boardman moved to approve the 2016 September, October, November and December treasurers reports as presented, seconded by Trustee Scheeringa. Roll call vote, all members voted yes and motion carried.
Trustee Boardman moved to approve the disbursements in the amount $239,015.82 (dollars), seconded by Trustee Matthys. Roll call vote, all members voted yes and motion carried.
Police - Chief Lewis submitted the January Police Report. (on file).
Maintenance Discussion on mutual aid snow plowing and equipment.
Park Committee Trustee Matthys reported on the January 30, 2017 meeting.
Building and Zoning no report
Public Works Committee President Peterson reported on the January 28, 2017 meeting.
New Richmond Fire & Rescue Station II water meter receivable - Trustee Boardman moved to table the Village of Star Prairie $3,170.25 receivable in the water utility for the New Richmond Fire & Rescue Station II meter with village attorney Tim Scott drafting a letter to the New Richmond Fire & Rescue Advisory Board regarding this outstanding debt for installation of water meter at Fire Station II pursuant to wording in the New Richmond Fire District Contract Agreement, seconded by Trustee Howe. Roll call vote, all members voted yes and motion carried.
New Richmond Fire & Rescue Pumper Truck Purchase - Trustee Howe moved to approve the New Richmond Fire & Rescue new pumper truck down payment in the amount of $5,330.00 (dollars) for the Village of Star Prairies proportionate share with funding from unassigned general fund balance, seconded by Trustee Boardman. Roll call vote, all members voted yes and motion carried.
Application(s) for Operators License - Trustee Boardman moved to approve the applications for Operators License for Ann Foss and Liam Mehls, for Star Prairie Sports Bar, seconded by Trustee Scheeringa and motion carried.
Adjournment - Trustee Boardman moved to adjourn, seconded by Trustee Howe and motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 7:30 pm.
