SPECIAL BOARD PROCEEDINGS
MAY 10, 2017
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, posted May 8, 2017 the Star Prairie Village Board met in special session at the Community Center at 6:00 p.m. on May 10, 2017. The meeting was called to order by President Pro Tem Chris Boardman. Roll call; members present: Trustees Dan Scheeringa, Craig Matthys, Dustin Howe and Chris Boardman. Members absent: President Chad Peterson.
Trustee Matthys moved to approve the agenda, seconded by Trustee Howe and motion carried.
PUBLIC HEARING on proposed amendment to Zoning Ordinance Section 13-1-47 B-1 Downtown Business District (b) Permitted Principal Uses allowing Dog training facilities without overnight animal boarding. Upon hearing no public comments President Pro Tem Boardman closed the hearing.

Proposed amendment to Zoning Ordinance Section 13-1-47 B-1 Downtown Business
Trustee Howe moved to approve An Ordinance Amending the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Star Prairie Section 13-1-47 B-1 Downtown Business District (b) Permitted Principal Uses allowing Dog training facilities not involving overnight boarding of animals, seconded by Trustee Matthys. Roll call vote, all members voted yes and motion carried.
An Ordinance Amending the Zoning Ordinance of the
Village of Star Prairie
The Village Board of the Village of Star Prairie does ordain as follows:
SECTION I. SECTION AMENDED
Subparagraph "(19)" of Paragraph "(b)," entitled "Permitted Principal Uses" of Section 13-1-47, entitled "B-1 Downtown Business District," of Article "C,", entitled "Zoning Districts," of Chapter 1, entitled "Zoning Code," of Title 13, entitled "Zoning," of the Municipal Code of the Village of Star Prairie are hereby created to read as follows:
Article C. Zoning Districts.
13-1-47 B-1 Downtown Business District
(b) Permitted Principal Uses
(19) Dog training facilities not involving overnight
boarding of animals
SECTION II. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of this Ordinance or any application of this Ordinance to any person or circumstance is found to be invalid or unconstitutional, such a finding shall not affect the other provisions or applications of this Ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid or unconstitutional provisions or applications.
Application(s) for "Operator's" License
Trustee Scheeringa moved to approve Applications for "Operator's" License for Margaret Germain, Freda Mork and Gretchen Raddatz for Star Prairie Convenience, seconded by Trustee Matthys and motion carried.
Board of Review Training
Trustees Chris Boardman, Dan Scheeringa, Craig Matthys and Dustin Howe along with clerk Patsy Johnson completed an Affidavit of Attendance that each affiant met the certified training requirement by viewing the 2017 Board of Review Training DVD and completing the exam.
Trustee Matthys moved to adjourn, seconded by Trustee Howe and motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:04 p.m.
