Step back in time at The SPACE

Step back in time to see how vintage clothing has inspired today's fashion at The SPACE's Modern Vintage Fashion Show on Sept. 24.

The fashion show will feature the work of seven New Richmond students who worked most of the summer to design and create their pieces.

The fashion show is the finale to the Fashion Runway Challenge class, which was taught by Carol Jones, a local designer, and co-sponsored by Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College, Community Ed and The SPACE.

Themed "what goes around comes around," the show is a nod to fashion through the years and will be shown in conjunction with Heritage Days to tie in past fashions. Fashions from the New Richmond Preservation Society will also be featured on the runway.

"It's a lively look at how vintage clothing designs work their way into stylish new creations," said Courtney Moe, creative director at The SPACE.

Doors open at 6 p.m. on Sept. 24 at The SPACE, 156 High St., New Richmond, for a social hour prior to the show's 7 p.m. start time. Tickets are $5 per person and can be bought at the door or in advance online at
