Mike and Sarah Moore opened SAM’s Corner Bar & Grill in downtown New Richmond in March 2013. Mike Moore was diagnosed with blastomycosis on March 15 this year and Sarah had his second child (her first) on Sunday, April 13. Paul Rode, owner of The Agave Kitchen in Hudson, agreed to help the family by becoming their employee and running SAM’s while Mike recovers and Sarah takes care of their children. Robert Catlow-Price has opened Elements Cafe in the old food shelf space at The Creamery Building, 150 W. First St., on May 4 and has been building momentum ever since.

Mike and Sarah Moore recently opened Sam's Corner Bar and Grill and Fore Moore's Indoor Mini Golf at 157 S. Knowles Ave. in downtown New Richmond. Sam's Corner Bar and Grill occupies the upper level of the building, while Fore Moore's makes its home in the basement.
