Larry and Doreen Mansfield gathered photographs and other memorabilia from their daughter's life as Saturday's memorial service at First Baptist Church in New Richmond approached. Katrina (Mansfield) Erickson and her husband, Jay, were killed in Zambia, Africa while doing Christian missionary work in that country.

Pastor Ryan Schroeder, the new associate pastor at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, was ordained and installed at the church on June 24. He said he's excited to make New Richmond his home and work with the church to attract new families to the congregation.

Linda Lewis of New Richmond will be ringing the Salvation Army bell for 30 hours straight beginning at 5 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20. She hopes to talk to individuals and businesses in the area ahead of her shift in order to help raise a good chunk of change for the local organization's programs.
