Summertime fun in New Richmond
Theresa Johnson of New Richmond was out with neighborhood children, including her granddaughter, Adella Baune (pink dress), offering lemonade from their stand when St. Croix County Sheriff's Deputy Josh Stenseth stopped by for some refreshment.

Evan and his dad [Johnson's neighbors] organized the whole thing and made the lemonade from scratch. The officer stopped by for about 10 minutes, talked to all the kids, shook hands, and paid $5 for a 50-cent cup of lemonade and told them to keep the change. You should have seen their eyes light up!
"We thought the officer was stopping because the tent was on the road. So Grandpa and I ran over to make sure no one was getting in trouble. No trouble at all ... just plain old fun!
"Something wonderfully positive happening on the streets of New Richmond!" Johnson said.
"Nothing says summertime like a lemonade stand with homemade lemonade! Getting in the last bits of summertime fun," Johnson added.
