The Rotary Club of New Richmond hosted the eighth annual St. Croix Art & Culinary Show Sunday, April 21.

A great crowd was on hand for the event, which helped the Rotary Club raise funds for the STRIVE Scholarship program and other efforts.

The evening's festivities included art demonstrations and exhibits from local artists and craftspeople. Also, culinary experts were on hand to provide food samples to all in attendance, and wines and spirits were also provided.

A key part of the event was the first ever Chef's Showcase Showdown, which pitted Mary Caudy of Douville Bakery in New Richmond and John Tapper, sous-chef at Brady's Brewhouse. The competition was patterned after the "Iron Chef" cable program.

Art pieces were auctioned off to raise more money, and silent auctions and raffles were also conducted.
