Marinette woman sentenced today for role iin 2007 squirrel-hunter death
A Marinette woman will be sentenced this afternoon, after she tried to help her ex-boyfriend get away with killing a southeast Asian squirrel hunter 2 and one-half years ago.
Dacia James, 23, pleaded no contest to aiding a felon, and two other charges were dropped in a plea deal.
She used to go out with James Nichols who's spending 69 years in prison for shooting and stabbing Cha Vang, 30, of Green Bay in a state nature preserve near Peshtigo in January 2007.
Authorities said James helped Nichols hide a shotgun in a storage unit the day Vang was killed.
