Mexican immigrant wanted in Wisconsin for selling false ID cards arrested in Minneapolis

A man who used to work for Wisconsin's motor vehicle division is back in jail, after being on the lam for two years while facing 38 misconduct charges.

Vicente Rea, 36, is accused of selling false driving permits and ID cards when he lived in Madison.

Rea was freed when he posted a $1,900 bond in August of 2006.

He was supposed to be monitored, but he disappeared.

Finally, Rea was arrested this month at his current home in Minneapolis where authorities said he tried to liquidate assets he built up in his state retirement account.

He told police he wasn't sure how much was in that account.

Rea, a Mexican citizen with a resident alien card, is now being held on a bond that totals $106,000.

A $30,000 bond was ordered after he vanished. A judge this week ordered a $2,000 bond for every count he's charged with.
