Gallardo and Butler are possible starts Sunday for Brew Crew

Brewers' manager Ken Macha is getting both Yovani Gallardo and rookie Josh Butler ready to pitch on Sunday against Houston.

Both had bullpen sessions Thursday and Macha will announce today who he'll use.

There's been talk about shutting Gallardo down because of his high pitch counts during the season.

The right-hander says he's not excited about it, but he appreciates the Brewers' concern about protecting his arm.

Gallardo does hope to pitch long enough to record 200 strikeouts for the season. He only needs three K's to reach that milestone.

Only three other pitchers have done it in Brewers' history.

Teddy Higuera struck out 200 or more, three times in his career.

Butler was recently called up from the minors.

He went 9-3 at three levels of minor league play this season, with an ERA of 2.97.
