Guard troops welcomed home at Volk Field
The Wisconsin Army National Guard's Troop E, 105th Cavalry, completed more than 350 missions while serving in Iraq.
About 125 troops were greeted home at a welcoming ceremony at Volk Field at midday Saturday.
The soldiers are just back from spending eight months overseas, though they arrived in Mississippi earlier this week.
They were released from duty after the ceremony, leaving the Wisconsin National Guard with about 250 soldiers and airmen on active duty -- around 100 of those are overseas at this time.
