Old Gem ramps up for the blues

As part of the First Annual Willow River Blues and Brews Fest, the Old Gem Theater will host the musical duo Jess and Zeb on Saturday evening, June 7, at 7 p.m. After the Fest in Mary Park winds up in the afternoon, Blues fans can stroll over to the Old Gem Theater to keep the party rolling.

Jess and Zeb have become favorites at the Old Gem receiving rave reviews from the audience for their powerful vocals combined with the smooth finger-style guitar. Playing a wide range of genres from blues to jazz to pop, rock and folk, Jess and Zeb add intriguing variety to every set.

Acoustic music fans will find Jess and Zeb's unique performance unforgettable. Their imaginative musical methods create a larger sound than would be expected from two people through the tasteful use of music technology.

Vocalist, Jessica Davis, in addition to being a powerfully soulful singer, is also a classically-trained violinist, and peppers their sets with her own instrumental abilities. Guitarist Zeb Cruikshank showcases his abilities as both an accompanist and a soloist.
