Hueg honored by State School Board Association

John Hueg, St. Croix Central School Board director, was presented with a Wisconsin Association of School Board Tier One award at their meeting in Menomonie on Tuesday, Sept. 16.

Hueg is in his fourth year serving on the School Board.

To be eligible for the award, School Board members attended conferences, seminars and classes held by WASB. Each event attended earns the participant points. Once achieving a certain level of points, Board members are eligible for increasing tier awards.

SCC Board President Howard Kruschke said the system tries to make the Board members better through continuing education.

"It's something that shows they're bettering themselves as Board members," said Kruschke.

Hueg has championed the facilities committee for the Board. He said that he enjoys being active in the community.
