Gophers' leading receiver will miss Badger game
The Big Ten's leading receiver, Eric Decker of Minnesota, will miss Saturday's game at Wisconsin with a high-ankle sprain.
Decker, a junior, leads the league with 74 receptions and he's second in the conference with 892 receiving yards to go with six touchdown catches.
Earlier in the week, Badgers' corner Allen Langford said he hoped Decker would play because he looked forward to the opportunity of going against him.
But Gophers' coach Tim Brewster said Tuesday Decker is simply not ready and it's better for him to try and get ready for Minnesota's game against Ohio on Nov. 22.
The Gophers were 7-1 when Decker got hurt against Northwestern. Minnesota lost that game and then fell to Michigan last Saturday.
