'Hannah Montana' performs at Paperjack for Empty Bowls

A Hannah Montana look-alike stopped by Paperjack Elementary on Friday in support of the students' success fund raising for Empty Bowls.

Through a week-long penny drive, the students raised $610.36, more than double of their initial $300 goal.

Rewards were great. Kindergartener Joe Casey got to throw a pie in the face of fifth grade teacher Jenny Myer. Principal Steve Wojan put on pink sparkles and a blond wig to transform into Hannah Montana. He completed the look with a cardboard guitar and danced to a Hannah Montana hit.

Empty Bowls will be held tonight, March 2, at Hillside Elementary from 5-7 p.m. Proceeds will help feed those in need in the New Richmond area.
