Bids: Moving Services
Independent School District 192 (ISD 192), Farmington Public Schools is seeking proposals for Moving Services.
Proposer will deliver one (1) original and two (2) copies to the following address:

Proposals received after the noted time will not be considered unless waived by the Director of Administrative Services.
Please clearly mark the envelope as follows: "SEALED PROPOSAL FOR MOVING SERVICES"
Pre-Proposal Walk Through:
A walk through for the buildings will be on March 11, 2009 at 2:30 PM starting at the Old High School (New Boeckman Middle School), 800 Denmark Ave, Farmington, MN, followed by a walk through of Farmington Middle School East
(New Riverview Elementary School) located at 4100 208th Street West at 3:30 PM.

Independent School District 192 reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received as a result of this RFP. If a proposal is selected, it will be the most advantageous regarding price, quality of service, the Vendor's qualifications and capabilities to provide the specified service, and other factors which Independent School District 192 may consider. The School District does not intend to award a contract fully on the basis of any response made to the proposal; the School District reserves the right to consider proposals for modifications at any time before a contract would be awarded, and negotiations would be undertaken with that provider whose proposal is deemed to best meet the ISD 192's specifications and needs.
The School District reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, to waive or not waive informalities or irregularities in proposals or procedures, and to accept or further negotiate cost, terms, or conditions of any proposal determined by the School District to be in the best interests of the School District even though not the lowest proposal.
The price quotations stated in the bidder's proposal will not be subject to any price increase from the date on which the proposal is opened at the School District Office to the mutually agreed-to date of contract.
Proposals must be signed by an official authorized to bind the contractor to its provisions for at least a period of 90 days.
In the event it becomes necessary to revise any part of the RFP, addenda will be provided. Deadlines for submission of the RFP's may be adjusted to allow for revisions.
To be considered, an original proposal and two copies must be at the School District on or before the date and time specified.
The proposal shall include all of the following information. Failure to include all of the required information may result in disqualification of a Proposer.
State the vendor's qualifications to provide the moving services required by ISD 192. Include information such as years in business, number of employees.
List three references from current corporate or government customers purchasing similar services. Include business name, contact name and phone number.
Provide information on how many days or hours notification must be given prior to scheduling / rescheduling a move.
Provide detailed information on your fleet of trucks, quantity and size of trucks, and number of employees.
Provide the type of screening required for each employee. Examples: alcohol, drugs and security.
Review contract provisions and insurance requirements. Note any limitations on providing insurance requirements as outlined in the contract provisions.

If a contract is awarded, the selected vendor will be required to adhere to a set of general contract provisions which will become a part of a formal agreement. These provisions are general principles which apply to all contractors of service to Independent School District 192. See the attached proposed contract conditions.
