Mistrial declared in Cherrier trial

Green Bay's mayor looks for ways to welcome Favre back to Titletown

How would you welcome Brett Favre back to Green Bay?

Mayor Jim Schmitt says he's looking for what he calls "tasteful" ideas to welcome the former Packers' quarterback, when Favre and his Minnesota Vikings play at Lambeau Field on Nov. 1.

The City of Green Bay's Web site is taking those ideas.

The mayor says one is to create the world's largest waffle in the shape of No. 4. It's a joke about Favre's indecision the last few years about retiring. says a video montage of Favre's interceptions should be shown before the game.

Favre is the NFL's leader in interceptions with 312 over his 19-year career and he also holds the career record for touchdown passes with 476.

This year with Minnesota, he has 12 touchdown passes and only two picks.

And his team is 6-0 for the first time in Favre's career, including the 16 years he spent with the Packers.
