Another oversized truck to head through region overnight

Another big semi-truck carrying a dryer for an ethanol plant will be making its way through the region Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol the big rig will be leaving Waukesha between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Tuesday and heading north on I-94.

This time however, the truck won't be heading through Hudson.

Instead the truck will leave I-94 at Highway 29 in Elk Mound. State Patrol officials expect this to happen at approximately 1 a.m. Wednesday.

The truck will take Highway 29 to Highway 53 in Chippewa Falls and then take Highway 53 to Highway 8 in Cameron.

Between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. on Wednesday the rig should move through St. Croix Falls.

The truck, which is approximately 200-feet long and 16-feet wide, will be escorted by two State Patrol vehicles.

Due to its weight, the must slow to 5 mph at several bridges and overpasses. The truck with its load is approximately 200-feet-long and 16-feet wide.
