Badger men crush Bemidji 90-54 in Madison

The Wisconsin men's basketball team crushed Division 2 Bemidji State 90-54 last night in their exhibition opener in Madison.

The Badgers led by 24 at the half. They shot 52 percent for the game, and out-rebounded Bemidji 44-24.

But Bo Ryan's Badgers only made 19-32 from the free throw line and they committed 13 turnovers.

Ryan says the perfect game has never been played, and the Badgers need to improve on their weaknesses.

Four Wisconsin players scored at least 12 points.

Jon Leuer was the high scorer with 15, and made 7-8 from the floor. Brady Fairbanks led Bemidji State with 14 points.

The Badgers will play their second and final exhibition game next Wednesday night at the Kohl Center against University of Wisconsin-Superior.
