The new Miss Roberts and her court will be crowned on Saturday, June 5, at 6 p.m. in at the St. Croix Central Elementary School lower gym, 202 S. Division St., Roberts.

Following are the candidates for the royal court and some biographical information about each.

Corynne Nelson. Nelson is the daughter of Steve and Roxy Nelson. She is 17 years old and has one brother, Logan. Her sponsors are Nelson Machining, Cody Plumbing, J Haas Excavating and L&M's Bar and Grill.

Nelson's interests at school include cross country, softball, singing, acting, Students Offering Support, National Honor Society and prom committee. Outside of school, she enjoys sports and hanging out with friends.

Good Neighbor Days memories for Nelson include riding the "Zipper" carnival ride over and over and listening to The Dweebs. She decided to become a Miss Roberts candidate to do something for the community that has been a lot of fun where she could make tons of great memories. Nelson enjoys spending time with the other contestants and getting to know everyone better. If Nelson was asked by a stranger about Roberts, her response would be, "The warmest, friendliest town ever. It's a place you'll never forget in your life."

Nelson plans to go to college to become a graphic designer.

Emily Sirek. Sirek is the daughter of Melissa Sirek and Tom Sirek. She is 17 years old and has a brother, Charlie, and two sisters, Ashley and Olivia. Sirek's sponsors are B&H Machine, Color Crossing, Roberts Decorating and Snap Fitness.

Sirek's interests at school included dance team and choir. Outside of school, she enjoys shopping and hanging out with her friends.

Good Neighbor Days memories for Sirek are walking around with friends, the rides, fireworks and the food. She decided to become a Miss Roberts candidate to get to know more people in the community because her family moved here just three years ago. Sirek is having fun with the contestants as they learn their dance together. If Sirek was asked to describe Roberts, her response would be, "It's a small town with a ton of nice people. The park is a good place to hang out with friends or have a picnic."

In the future, Sirek plans to attend college in Duluth, Minn. and become a doctor.

Hayley Ray. Ray is the daughter of Roger and Laurene Ray. She is 17 years old and has one brother, Derek. Ray's sponsors are Ron's Sewer Service, County Materials, Curves and St. Croix Tree Service.

Ray fills her school time with dancing, cross country, FFA and prom committee. Ray is active in 4-H, church youth group and any kind of sporting event.

Ray decided to become a Miss Roberts candidate after hearing all the fun stories from previous candidates and the opportunity to meet new people. Favorite memories from Good Neighbor Days include being in the Kiddie Parade as one of the Seven Dwarfs, passing out can coolers and fly swatters at the parade. Being a part of the pageant, Ray likes getting to know all of the girls better. She would describe Roberts as "A small, friendly community that is welcoming and easy to feel a part of."

Ray's future plans are to attend college but her major is undecided at this time.

Jordan Risberg. Risberg is the daughter of Rick and Christie Risberg. She is 17 years old and has no siblings. Risberg's sponsors are Carbone's, Fitness-To-Go, St. Croix Discovery Preschool and Sidetrack Saloon.

At school, Risberg is involved in golf, basketball, softball, SOS, NHS and Future Leaders of America. When not at school, Risberg spends time with family and friends, listening to music and playing sports.

Risberg became a Miss Roberts candidate because her friends on the Hammond court said how great the experience was, how much fun and being able to represent Roberts. Favorite Good Neighbor Days memories are times at the carnival with friends, being at the park, eating mini donuts and The Dweebs. During the pageant practices, Risberg is getting to know the other girls better and having fun all together. She would describe Roberts as "An amazing town where everyone knows everyone and people are always nice to you. A peaceful, friendly community. Easy to feel welcome."

Risberg's future plans are to attend a four year college to study elementary education.

Kim Friedrich. Friedrich is the daughter of Mark and Angie Friedrich. She is 17 years old and has two sisters, Jess and Kelley. Friedrich's sponsors are Golden Harvest, Family Dentistry, Roberts Warren Fire Association and Roberts Grocery.

At school, Friedrich is involved in basketball, softball, FLA and is an officer for FFA. Outside of school, Kim enjoys time at her grandma's cabin, time with her family and friends.

Friedrich became a Miss Roberts candidate because when her sister was a royal court member, she had a great experience and now she would like the opportunity to meet new people. Friedrich's favorite Good Neighbor Days memory is trying to be in the front row at The Dweebs concert and being pushed all around. Other memories are the rides, especially the "Zipper" and the food. As a candidate, Friedrich is getting to know the others better as well as the Roberts Royalty Committee. Kim would describe Roberts as a "fun-loving community."

Friedrich's future plans are to attend a four-year college and major in an animal science field.

Additional sponsors of the pageant are Citizens State Bank, Knobel Photography, S. Augustine Salon, Stitchin' Post and SSG Corporation (Holiday and Northland Liquors). These sponsors have provided services for the candidates and the pageant.

The Junior Miss Roberts pageant is sponsored by Roberts Knight Riders, Subway and The Cave Inn.
