Wisconsin town rallies for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to aid local family

Recently, the ABC show Extreme Homemaker: Home Edition asked people to nominate Wisconsinites who deserve a new house.

Dodgeville's D-99.3 FM put out the call and a Belmont family has gotten a lot of love as a result.

Listeners are trying to get Ty Pennington and company to build a new house for Galin and Amber Eisele.

Galin had a stroke a year ago, caused by a hole in his heart. The trauma gave him three more strokes.

Amber, meanwhile, was expecting their son, Colton, at the time. He, too, had a hole in his heart, along with kidney problems and no rectum.

The child turns 1 next month, and he'll need about five more surgeries.

Meanwhile, Galin normally sleeps at a care center in Platteville.

The family tries to have him at their small Belmont apartment when they can.

Young Colton Eisele also has a sister, Lexi.

Extreme Homemaker requires a family to own property, which the Eiseles don't.

The family has gotten multiple offers of land.

If the show picks them, a surveyor, an excavator and an attorney all promise to donate their services.

The family's nomination video is on YouTube. To help you search for it, the last name is spelled EISELE.
