Truck rollover snarls eastbound I-94 near Roberts

Body:

Eastbound traffic on I-94 was backed up nearly five miles for at time late Monday afternoon as authorities scrambled to clear a semi-rollover that occurred near Mile 9, west of Roberts just before 4 p.m.
The State Patrol indicated the truck driver managed to free himself from the cab but was complaining of a neck injury. He was transported by ambulance to an area hospital.
The truck and fully-loaded trailer flipped over the concrete construction barrier and into the south ditch.
With some help from Jerry's Towing personnel and equipment, scattered debris was quickly picked up and since the tractor-trailer rig came to rest off the road, the Patrol and St. Croix County deputies were able to re-open both eastbound lanes within 35 minutes of the crash.
The wreckage was to be removed later, once traffic levels diminished, said Chief Jeff Vogt, of Roberts-Warren Fire & Rescue which sent several trucks to the scene.
A paramedic and EMS personnel from Hudson also responded. Crews from River Falls Area Ambulance responded to Hudson to provide coverage while their crews were at the crash scene.
