Hannah White graduates with honors

A Hammond student at UW-Stevens Point was among 40 students honored with the 2013 Chancellor's Leadership Award on Friday, Dec 13.

Hannah White, daughter of Donnie White and Connie Buelow, is a senior who majored in wildlife ecology research and management with a minor in conservation biology. She served as a secretary for The Wildlife Society and a wildlife management intern for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. She received the Eric Duffey Memorial Scholarship and graduated on Saturday, Dec. 15, with summa cum laude honors.

The Chancellor's Leadership Award was established in 1978 by former Chancellor and Wisconsin Governor Lee Sherman Dreyfus to recognize significant leadership, university and community service and a commitment to personal growth. Each recipient receives a bronze medallion emblazoned with the university seal, hanging from a purple and gold ribbon.
