St. Croix Central School District to hold new construction open house
St. Croix Central
The St. Croix Central School District is proud to formally invite the community to its New Construction Open House scheduled for Monday, Jan. 16, from 4-8 p.m.
"I am incredibly excited for the community to see our newest facilities. Since the construction phases were staggered, many folks have seen much of the new construction. However, there are still a lot of folks have not yet seen all the new spaces," said superintendent Tim Widiker. "Now that 95% of the project is complete, we felt it was very important to formally open all our doors to the entire community and showcase the facilities that they supported in the November 2014 Referendum."
The open house is an opportunity for the district to formally thank the community for its support of the new spaces as well as welcome community members into the new and improved areas and explain the spaces in greater detail. The administration and school staff is excited to showcase the outstanding facilities that the students, staff and community will enjoy for years.
The new construction, made possible by the November 2014 Referendum, spans many buildings; all of which will be open to the community for viewing during the Construction Open House. Open House locations include:
• St. Croix Central Elementary School: 202 South Division Street, Roberts
• St. Croix Central Middle School: 1295 Vine Street, Hammond
• St. Croix Central High School: 1795 Broadway Street, Hammond
• St. Croix Central Bus Garage: 1320 Davis Street, Hammond
• St. Croix Central District Office: 915 Davis Street, Hammond
The open house will include refreshments in the common areas of the three schools, a highlight video will show the construction phases and group tours that will be given every half hour. Representatives from St. Croix Central, Miron Construction and Wold Architects will be on hand to answer questions and highlight the details surrounding the new spaces.
