New Richmond Middle School students participated in the Future City Competition held at the Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, Minn., on Saturday, Jan. 20.

Future City is a project-based learning program where students in sixth, seventh and eighth grades imagine, research, design, and build cities of the future. Teams presented their final projects to numerous judges throughout the event.

The NRMS teams which participated in the competition were Team Duluth 2.98, which included Grace Gray, Carly Rodriguez, Elva Crist and Cullen Lease; Team DAKL, which included Drew Eckert, Andrew Blattner, Kira Schulze and Luke Stuedemann; and Team Sandwich Hills, which included Nolan Denning, Noah Herron, Drew Soloman and Jacob Lammers.
