The New Richmond School District Board of Education filled its vacant seat by voting to appoint Bryan Schafer to the school board following an interview process at its Monday, Feb. 5 board work session.
The seat on the board was vacated when Marty Wold resigned his position after moving out of the district. Schafer's position on the board will be up for election this April. Schafer, along with current school board president and Kent Elkin filed paperwork to be on the spring election ballot for the two seats on the board which are up for election.
Schafer previously served on the School District of New Richmond's Board of Education from 2006-2012
"On behalf of the Board of Education, we would like to welcome back Bryan to the School District of New Richmond's Board of Education," said district administrator Patrick Olson.
