Bookmobile planned to keep students reading throughout summer
Somerset Elementary School will offer a Super Reader Bookmobile this summer. The bookmobile is preparing to hit the road with library books to increase reading opportunities for students all summer long.
At designated neighborhoods, current JK through fourth graders can browse through bins of books and will be able to check out one to three books (upon returning previously checked out books).
The bookmobile will visit three neighborhoods plus a parent pick up area, with the bookmobile rotating locations every other Wednesday, starting on June 13, and going through Aug. 8. The schedule (below) will be available via the district Infinite Campus notification system, the district website and the Somerset Facebook page. The bookmobile will not venture out if it is raining so as not to damage the books. A makeup date will be announced on Infinite Campus. Students who check out books two out of four times will receive a free t-shirt.
