It's homecoming week!

It's homecoming week at St. Croix Central and that means there are lots of exciting events happening.

Tuesday night (Sept. 22) was the annual Skit and Lip Sync Night. Classmates worked together to write skits and routines. The homecoming banners were also voted on during the event. Results were not announced at the event.

Coronation took place on Tuesday night as well. Tia Perry was crowned Queen with Tyler Perry crowned as King. First attendants were Abby Delander and David Butler. Second attendants were Martha Landry and RJ Pfeifer.

Winning for the freshmen class was Macy Johnson and Kyle Aaby. Winning sophomores were Kelsey McKenna and Valentin Vozisor. Juniors Amy Zerwas and Markus Haastert took the crowns.

A food eating contest was held during silent reading time on Wednesday, Sept. 23.

Pep fests at the elementary and high schools will be held on Friday afternoon, Sept. 25. A tailgate dinner, with funds going to local causes, will be held from 5-7 p.m. at the high school, 1751 Broadway St., Hammond. The varsity football game against Spring Valley will start at 7 p.m.

A dance for students will follow the game.
