Open houses slated at New Richmond schools

The first day of school is right around the corner for New Richmond students and kids are gearing up for the new year.

Classes begin the first week of September for most students with 4K and grades 1-9 beginning Sept. 1, grades 10-12 beginning Sept. 2 and kindergarten beginning Sept. 7.

All grades (except kindergarten) at New Richmond's elementary schools start school Thursday, Sept. 1. Kindergarten begins Wednesday, Sept. 7.

To ensure a positive start to the school year, the district has scheduled an open house at each of the elementary schools on Wednesday, Aug. 31, from 9-10 a.m. The open houses are an opportunity for parents and students to wander through the schools, locate classrooms, drop off school supplies and meet the teachers.
